We understand that buying your Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) is a big commitment, which is why on this page we will give you some insight into the finance option that we are offering in partnership with Santander Consumer Finance.

1. Hire Purchase (HP)

What is Hire Purchase (HP)?

Hire Purchase is a way to buy a vehicle with total flexibility using an initial deposit and completing the remaining monthly payments. When you speak with our advisors, you can choose the deposit you are willing to pay on your chosen WAV and the term (or length) of the agreement.

The remaining payments are made monthly. As this is a fixed interest agreement the monthly payments will not change during the agreement. At the end of the agreement, upon paying all your monthly payments in full, ownership of the WAV will transfer to you.

This is an agreement secured against the vehicle and you will not own the vehicle until you have made all of the payments. You can settle the agreement at any point (thus making you the WAV owner) by paying the outstanding balance. We will also consider a part-exchange on your current car or WAV. This is not guaranteed, but your WAV Advisor will be happy to talk through the options with you.



Your vehicle is at risk of repossession if you do not maintain the contractual repayments. 9.9% APR representative. We act as a credit broker and we are not a lender. Finance subject to status and acceptance by approved finance companies. We will introduce you to a limited number of lenders who may be able to help finance your purchase. 2. Cash Payment

We’re happy to take cash payments for your vehicle in full. You can pay this outright and full ownership of the vehicle will be transferred to you.

3. Motability Scheme


What is Motability?

The Motability Scheme helps disabled people to use their Mobility Allowance to lease a car, scooter, powered wheelchair or wheelchair accessible vehicle. If you receive any of these benefits, you could be eligible:

  • Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
  • Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
  • War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
  • Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
Versa Motability

This can then be used on either a New or Nearly New WAV, and at times will require an Advance Payment (similar to a cash deposit). A Motability lease will last either 3 or 5 years depending on the vehicle, and includes benefits like servicing, insurance and breakdown cover as part of the package.

4. Financial Assistance in the form of a Grant

Motability is a national charity, therefore they are able, in certain situations, to provide Charitable Grants to disabled people who would otherwise struggle to afford the mobility solution they need.

They will means-test all applications and will talk you through your circumstances and requirements on application.
